Blackie's Story...

Hi! My name is Blackie! My owner dumped me and was brought into foster care.    I am VERY SWEET, easy going, gentle and LOVE attention from my humans.  I like children over 12 years of age, dogs and don't mind cats.  I  love my crate, do okay on car rides and right now not a fan of water.  I love to hang out with my humans in the house or accompany you while you do chores on a fenced property.  I would love a home with an active middle aged or just recently active, calm, patient, retired  couple without breed or weight restrictions.  For more information on Blackie,  contact her foster mom at kzyrnr17@yahoo.com

This is a courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society.   For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at info@dogdiggityrescue.com. L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with Paws Without Borders and other rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees. You can contact us directly at info@dogdiggityrescue.com, visit our website at www.dogdiggityrescue.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackie, a Olympia Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Olympia, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Olympia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olympia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olympia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olympia paves the way for another one to be saved.
