My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MOLLIE is a sweet chocolate Lab mix female with adorable caramel tan markings. She was a stray who wandered up to a home in NW TN and was then picked up by Animal Control. She was not claimed by anyone while at Animal Control, so a rescue volunteer stepped up to save her from being euthanized. She has been a foster in that volunteer's home ever since. Her foster says it is obvious that Mollie was never the center of anyone's attention. She has since learned about what it's like to be loved and treated in a positive way. She enjoys hanging out on the couch with her foster family. She likes to be petted, cuddled and belly rubbed. She has a very soft coat and a wonderfully expressive face with those big tan eyebrows. She has a friendly, outgoing personality and gets along with adults, children, and other dogs. We have observed her with children aged 8 and above. She did not seem to have an issue with cats in the past but has not been around any recently. She loves sturdy chew toys. She is motivated by treats and affection. She is crate trained and mostly house trained. She needs some good daily exercise but is also good about doing her business quickly. She is 2 to 3 years old and weighs 45 to 50 pounds. She has been vetted, vaccinated and spayed. She will be microchipped prior to adoption. She was heartworm positive when first rescued, but she successfully completed the treatment needed to rid her of heartworm, so this happy, healthy girl is now ready to find her forever home. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Mollie if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care she has received.
