Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, January 21st from 1-4pm and Sunday, January 22nd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, January 21st from 1-4pm and Sunday, January 22nd from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Bullet is a tiny 2 month old Dachshund-Terrier mix who is quite the adorable little spark-plug! He is a volunteer favorite, and everyone wants to hold and snuggle him ALL the time because he is just too cute. He's currently in the 5-7 lbs range and will likely remain a pretty petite guy. Bullet is full of energy and loves to play. He gets along well with dogs, both big and small. Don't worry about him-- he can hold his own against the big boys! He loves chew toys and is definitely in the chewing phase where he will need plenty of them! He is a good listener and is eager for some training.
Bullet is very much a puppy and will need someone who is ready for puppy training. He is an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years. He would love to go to a home with another dog who he can play with! He is an option for children over the age of 8.
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
