My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cubby is a sweet, shy, red-white boy who ended up in a shelter in El Campo.  His paperwork says he is 7 years old but he is much younger than that! We are putting him at under 5.

He was so shy when he first came to his foster home he wouldn’t come inside without a lot of coaxing.  Being around people all the time seemed like a totally new experience for him, but he learned quickly how to enjoy being indoors with his foster family.  He is still shy but will warm up to new people, if given some time.  He is house-trained & uses a doggie door.  He loves to go for walks and chase squirrels with the other beagles.  He is happy being in a kennel, but can also be trusted alone in the house when not in a kennel.   He is very well behaved and doesn’t get on furniture, except for the bed when no one is looking.   He is a quiet boy so will do well where noise is a concern.  He is very gentle so will do well with children and other dogs.

Cubby needs a home that will be patient with him and allow to adjust to new situations in his own time.  Even though he has responded well to the love and attention in his foster home, he is still a shy beagle.
