Pookie (in Texas)'s Story...
Pookie and her sister Precious are looking for their forever home due to an owner illness. Pookie is 5 years old and about 6 pounds. She is a bit more mischievous. Our foster tells us that these are great little girls who are quiet and laid back. They do well around other dogs and cats. They walk well on leashes and both girls love car rides. They are paper trained and good with their bathes. These girls are fully vetted including a dental cleaning. Pookie and Precious are a bonded pair and will need to go to the same home. Please fill out an application on our website if you are interested in adding them to your family. www.papadopters.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pookie (in Texas), a Austin Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Austin, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
