Karlee's Story...
We shared a few photos of Karlee last week after she arrived from another facility and went into foster. She has spent the past several days playing with her new pal, Dottie, loving on her foster grandkids, throwing toys around her foster home, and being a good-natured, friendly lovebug. While Karlee was reportedly very frightened at her previous facility, it's beyond clear that she has warmed up to home life in no time. So, who wants to take this 1-2 year old black Lab home forever? She loves dogs, cats, and kids. She loves people. She just loves life, period. :) Foster mom Lois says, "This dog is just a treasure! Easy-going and always has a good attitude! She doesn't like it when we leave her so there is a little separation anxiety but I think she'll be fine once she settles down and is in her forever home!" Karlee is now fully vaccinated, spayed, and vet checked. Her adoption fee is set at $275 to help us offset those expenses. Because Karlee is doing so well in her foster home, and they love her to bits, she will stay in foster until she's adopted. Please call the Rescue at 208-794-0944 to schedule a meet-and-greet.

If you want to apply for Karlee, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karlee, a Meridian Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
