HI all. This is Rocky. I call him Rockstar. Rocky came in to PURRS a few months ago in fairly poor shape. He came in with his whole rear shaved and a big scar on his leg clearly from surgery or some injury.. We called local and Chicago vets but no one claimed him. Weird as he clearly as he has been to the vet recently. Anyway. Rocky had mange and skin conditions as well as battle scars and an ear tip. We are guessing from his 'strength' and 'fitness' (haha) a prior outdoor cat who came in from the cold or turned friendly. And he is VERY FRIENDLY. Rockstar comes to his name, purrs, follows you around the house, gives these little 'chirp' meows, loves being brushed, loves sleeping in warm spots, is VERY inquisitive and very alert.. A good watch cat. He must have had some run in with dogs as he is hyper vigilant around them. We have him housed here with other cats and he tolerates them but probably best on his own as again he is hyper-vigilant. Rocky is sort of the King and prefers it that way...everyone else is a subject except YOU. Rocky is the loyal type and visibly brightens up when he recognizes someone..and comes running. He is not shy. Anyway if you are looking for the perfect companion cat for you than Rockstar is it. Rocky comes 'pretested' 'battle scarred' and 'affectionate proved' along with being trained to a scratch post very well thank you! He is moderate to low activity and would prefer the level of activity in a house. Rockstar has been waiting a little bit here so we are looking to send him home soon.
All our cats are fixed, chipped, wormed, shots and Rocky is no exception. He is all set to go. :)
