Chunky's Story...

I was left at the pound when my person could no longer care for me. I was frightened but was picked up by Forte Animal Rescue for a new chance at a better life. I am a quiet and shy girl, but friendly and really enjoy being with humans who are kind to me. I love going on walks and sitting on laps, so if you want to do either, maybe I can do it with you. I will try to be a good girl, if you give me a chance. I hope you give me a chance.

If you are interested in meeting Chunky, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.

[Chunky is about 1-1/2 years old and weighs 12 lbs.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chunky, a Marina del Rey Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
