My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Utah. I'm a 4 year old neutered male purebred Wheaten Terrier. I weigh about 36 pounds. I'm current on my vaccines and microchipped, so I'm all ready to move in to my new home!

I'm a sweet, happy, outgoing guy with lots of love to give. I love people and I get along great with other dogs, too. No one is a stranger to me, just a friend I've yet to meet!

Not much is known about my past. I was wandering the streets of South LA in December 2016, looking for some scraps to eat and trying to keep warm, when someone found me and dropped me off at the pound. I had a pretty gnarly wound on my right shoulder that appeared to be road rash. That means I was probably hit by a car at some point when I was living on the streets. I don't remember for sure, because I'm trying to move past those dark days and looking forward to a bright future with a loving family of my own.

Once I arrived, it didn't take long for the shelter staff to notice how adorable and friendly I am. It was clear to them that I'd fit right in at CageFree's facility. So that's where I am now, waiting for my happily ever after to begin.
