Facts about Butch Catsidy

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 422875
  • Hair: Unknown
Butch Catsidy is a handsome young guy found as a stray and never claimed. He's recently been neutered and is on the search for his second chance at a forever home.
Butch is initially a little shy in new environments and takes a while to get used to new situations. He likes to have hiding areas to feel safe, but with a few pets and scratches he will be out meowing at you for more. He loves being petted and is a pretty affectionate guy. He seems to get along with other cats and would be fine in a multi-pet home with proper, slow introductions. He would probably prefer a home without young children who can be a little loud and scary, but may be fine with older kids. Butch will certainly make a loving companion and with time to adjust will certainly come out of his shell for you.

A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
