Sage's Story...
Ready to go! Sage loves to play and have a good time. Give her a rope toy so she can run, shake and fling it around and let the fun begin. Sage would excel at agility as she is not only quick as the wind, but she can jump (including fences) and is responsive to treats. True to her breed, her high energy level is not for the faint of heart. Sage loves attention and will sit all day to get petted. She readily gives kisses and adores being around people who give her love. Obedience training would definitely be encouraged as she is still young and needs to be educated in doggie manners. Sage prefers one on one interaction so no other dogs, cats or young children in the household would be best. Sage must be the very one and only for your heart. Sage’s foster family have fallen in love with her – and her lucky forever family won’t be able to help but fall head over heels for her too! If you have any questions about Sage, you can call her foster mom, Louise Kuttler, from Sun Kiva Kennels, 352.481.3082. Her adoptive family will also receive a free weekend of boarding. Sage is ~ 2years old and a Rottweiler mix. Come by and meet her at Petsmart in Gainesville on Saturdays and Sundays.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sage, a Melrose Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Melrose, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Melrose.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melrose already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melrose breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melrose paves the way for another one to be saved.
