Philly Filet's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Philly Filet's Story...
I'm just your typical little Lab lady, but I'm a mix so I'm a little smaller than a 'real' Lab. I love just about everyone and everything, although I can be a little reserved when meeting new friends. I'm very submissive when it comes to other dogs, and I hate to admit it but cats can scare me a little too. I really like to carry toys around in my mouth, but I’ll also settle for a sock! I do sleep in a crate, although I don't like it very much. I would much prefer to curl up on the bed! My foster mom pretty much thinks I'm house-trained, but my new family will have to get me on their schedule. I'm also pretty good in the house. I don't really get into anything or chew on anything I'm not supposed to. I'm also not a barker, but more of a whiner. I'm a pretty sweet girl that has a lot of potential! I'd really like to have an active family that can teach me all kinds of cool tricks and help me build my confidence!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Philly Filet, a Melrose Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Melrose, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog from a breeder in Melrose.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melrose already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melrose breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melrose paves the way for another one to be saved.
