My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. To meet Lily, come to the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services at 5480 Gaines St. San Diego, CA 92110.

Lily is a 4-year-old, spayed female Lab/Pointer mix who weighs 65lbs. She has a pretty, shiny black coat with white fur with black little spots on her chest and neck. Lily loves to go for walks and she's a strong girl who does well with a sensation type harness. Lily will sit for treats and loves petting and butt scratches.

Lily can be a little standoffish at first, but give her a few minutes to get to know you and she will be your good buddy! She is shy with strangers, but does not take long to trust someone new if they give her a little time. Lily is selective about her dog friends but usually likes other dogs that are calm and respectful. If you have a dog in the household, be sure to bring him or her to the shelter with you when you meet Lily so you can see if they get along

Lily has a bad reputation at the shelter because she sometimes barks a lot in her kennel. You would, too, if you were penned up all day! She just wants to get out of there and run around and play! Ask to meet her in an interact yard and you'll see what a nice girl she is.

Lily was turned in to the shelter because her family moved. She used to live with a cat and a toddler and was a loyal companion with her family but could be scared of strangers and loud noises.

You can meet Lily at the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services at 5480 Gaines St. San Diego, CA 92110. Open Tuesdays - Sundays, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. Closed Mondays and holidays. Her adoption fee includes all shots, microchip, license, and free vet exam. Lily is already spayed and ready for her forever home.

Bring these ID numbers to the shelter to find Lily: ID#: A1751118; TAG #: C467
