Vulpes, the Fox

Vulpes, aka Fox, does indeed dream of chicken. A home of his own would be nice, but it would be nicer if there was also chicken (and any other food) available at this home. Fox dreams of chicken in his own home with a human who can keep him entertained. Being a Fox-cat, he is inquisitive, outgoing, social (occasionally annoyingly so), and yet he does not do well with other animals easily.
Fox is a young Seal Bi-Color Ragdoll from Kuwait (possibly purebred, but we are not sure, so we will call him a mix). Fox needs a lively, busy home with a lot of possibility for interaction. He does not need small children, but he would be fine with older children. He does not need a lot of other animals in the home. He has just recently started interacting well with the other cats in his foster home (he still has lapses where he forgets how to play nicely, but for the most part he is all right). So, here is his Wish List:
1.) A lively home
2.) A lot of interaction with humans who know cats
3.) A lot of humans with which to interact
4.) No small children
5.) Possibly a cat friend (not sure about dogs)
6.) Food
7.) More food
8.) Easy access to food

He does not have to go under our companion cat policy, though he is a young cat, because he was not well-socialized with cats when he was a kitten (one reason we insist on our companion cat policy).
Fox, like his name, is a real "character." It is mostly good character, though he has lapses, but he does require an experienced cat home where the people will be patient with his lively personality.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.
Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
COMPANION CAT POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
