Chiki's Story...
Hi! I'm Chiki and I am a 6 year old Shih Tzu! Cute as a button yep yep yep! I was rescued from the shelter by the nice rescue people who took me to the vet where I was finally able to get some relief for my skin! Due to someone not taking awesome care of me I developed itchy skin and scratched myself so much that it started falling out in places! Good thing I was rescued and am being cared for so I can get back to being the regal, gorgeous Shih Tzu I was born to be! I am the NICEST dog! I get along with everyone and I am fostered with other dogs. I could be in home with other dogs or fly solo-i'm easy like that! Wanna meet me? Please visit our website for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chiki, a Los Angeles Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
