My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey was found together with her sister Dixie in the Corridor of Cruelty. They seemed disoriented and we assume they were most likely dumped by their owners. Both of them were skinny and very hungry but in overall good spirits. After they got a yummy meal they started playing silly games with each other and the more we watched them the less likely were we going to leave them behind.

Honey was approximately born on 11/28/2015 and is about one year old now. She is a cute Pointer mix and weighs around 35 pounds.

Her caretaker at the boarding facility describes her as a very loving dog with lots of energy. They are currently working on basic commands and getting her used to being around other dogs. Honey initially did not want to make friends with any other dogs. The only dog she felt save around and comfortable with was her sister Dixie. Now she does seem to get along with a few others but is still scared of strange dogs and selective about who she is going to a have a game of tug-o-war with.

While she may take a little longer to warm up with other dogs she makes friends with people easily and does well around respectful children. She keeps her kennel impeccable, has excellent leash manners and already knows how to sit for treats.
Honey is still a very young dog and we would love for her to grow up in a home environment, where she can thrive and get all the TLC a puppy needs and deserves. Honey could be fostered or adopted together with her sister Dixie. Otherwise, we believe she would do best as an only dog with an active family where she can romp and run as much as her little heart pleases.

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.

We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.

The adoption fee of $200 covers spay, microchip and current vaccines.
