Buddy#2 COURTESY P's Story...
Buddy is a BIG lab, 95 pounds to be exact! I was given up with my pal, Rocky, when our family had a few new children and we, well, we thought WE were the only children, and therefore we decided we did not like the new baby and were behaving badly as a result. Of course, if we would have known we would end up in a shelter, we would have been much more considerate. In the meantime I am here hoping that someone will adopt me and give me a few more happy years. To add to my bad luck in life, I also have epilepsy, but am on medication and have not had any seizures thankfully. The medication is called phenobarbitol and it is very cheap. will you PLEASE help an old fella out? I happen to be a wonderful listener. COURTESY POST: Please visit the website www.animalhouseshelter.com for more information on adoptiing Buddy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy#2 COURTESY P, a Palatine/Kildeer/Buffalo Grove Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Palatine/Kildeer/Buffalo Grove, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Palatine/Kildeer/Buffalo Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine/Kildeer/Buffalo Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine/Kildeer/Buffalo Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine/Kildeer/Buffalo Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
