A man was working under an abandoned house in Compton, right in the heart of pit fighting, when he found nine two month old puppies and their beautiful Mom. He knew calling the Compton Shelter could mean a horror for these babies and mommie, so he phoned his wife. He told her to bring warm blankets, some dog food, his two boys, and come to the house as he had found a family of doggies. She was there shortly and the family took all the babies with the mommie kissing the lady into their car. Then they headed to a local vet as the babies were full of mites. All dogs were checked out, put on meds, and sent home to get baths, warm bedding, and full tummies. The following day this hero called Petsmart and was given our rescue, we are the Official Petsmart Rescue for their Tustin District.
When I got the call I felt so honored he had phoned us, and grateful to this hard working man, who took care of these newborns and the mom like they were his own children. He created a Doggie Suite for all of them with toys, blankets, lots of water and food served in cast iron skillets, an idea I LOVE! He told me their vet told him to get them settled, then bring back to him for all their first shots and a medical exam. That was all done this week, all babies have perfectly clean bill of healths, and are now ready to be adopted.
The babies will be coming to our Petsmart Tustin District show this coming Saturday, but you can reserve one with a phone call . . . .to 909-208-6889. Or text, as many times the voice mail is full. We also ask you to fill out an adoption application on this site.
