I’m Loretta and I’m looking for a home full of love and attention to call my own! If you’re visiting me at the shelter, you may be able to tell I can get a little stressed out and anxious being surrounded by so many other loud dogs. However, give me a chance and you’ll find that in a home my personality is as unique and beautiful as everyone says I am! At my foster home, my foster mom said I’m a pretty chill dog and know how to keep myself busy. I can still get anxious and bark if something like a big dog or a car ride stresses me out, but other than that I’m basically your typical hound dog: sweet and patient.

My foster mom says I do great around smaller dogs, cats, and even kids. As much fun as they are, I crave love and snuggles from humans and would need a family that has time to play with me and give me lots of attention. Once I come out of my shell, you’ll learn I have loads of energy to spend playing with my toys, running in my yard, and going on walks! I am willing to learn, but I need a strong handler to teach me that walking properly on a leash and learning my manners are not just for when I feel like doing them. At the end of the day, there’s nothing this hound wants more than a family to love and be loved by! Would you consider giving being the one?
