Lucy is one of the sweetest, most loving cats. She loves to cuddle, sleep with you and be petted. She is a great TV-watching companion. She is shy around strangers, so Lucy may take a little time to warm up to a new person. She has been great with our other cat (they even met at an older age) and is good living with cats as long as they aren't dominant.  However, she is not getting along with our dog.  Even though Lucy has her own private spaces, she wants to be where she wants to be and will hiss, grow, and swipe at the dog unprovoked. We are also expecting a baby soon, and her behavior is bringing out my mommy protective instincts. She is truly lovely, but would prefer to be an only animal, if possible, in a laid-back home, with someone who is sweet, gentle and likes to cuddle.  I just can't give that to her anymore.  She is healthy and happy as an indoor-only cat.  She has never had any problem with using her litter box and does not have any other bad behavior.  Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
