Are you looking for a pup who loves to cuddle, a best friend who's not afraid to get up close and personal? Do you have an affinity for cheesy low budget films that your friends wont watch with you anymore? Well look no further! Meet Sweetie! Sweetie doesn't care what you watch, as long as she can watch it with you! Curled up in your lap, hanging out on the couch, taking a walk, Sweetie just wants to be your best friend! So how did this loveable full bred cocker spaniel end up in rescue? Sweetie's first owners had purchased her as a puppy, but when she got older, they had taken her to a high kill shelter and requested that she be euthanized. She had infections and pus pockets in her mouth from severe dental decay and gum disease. The cost for the necessary dental work was over the thousand dollar mark. They no longer wanted her but luckily, Sweetie wasn't put to sleep that day, but rescued by One Good Deed Tn rescue instead! When we took Sweetie with us that day, we promised to find her a family that would never send her away, a family that truly valued her for the wonderful dog she is and understands that dogs are members of the family no matter what. Her dental issues have been fixed thanks to fundraising efforts and generous donors and her mouth is now back to normal! Sweetie is looking for a home that will spoil her all day long and let her sleep in the bed, she's much too sweet to be put in a cage! She's about six to eight years old and is good with other dogs, cats, and most of all, she promises she won't laugh at your old movies or crooked teeth! Sweetie loves to jump up on the couch and go for a good brisk walk or trot in the yard! Soon you'll be as enchanted with Sweetie as we are!

PLEASE NOTE: Sweetie is being fostered in Memphis, TN. Tennessee has a large number of dogs in need of homes, and adopts to Northeast furever homes! If you are interested in adopting Sweetie, her adoption donation covers transportation if needed, all vaccinations up to date, spay surgery, teeth cleaning, microchip, rabies vaccination and certificate, health certificate for travel, and of course, a lifetime of love and cuddles! About One Good Deed - NY Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

One Good Deed Tn, Inc was started in April, 2013 by the Naquin family, who had been very active with volunteer activities and animal advocay for many years. Many shelters and even humane societies claim to be "no kill," but we learned that the “no kill” provisions often had loop holes to allow for regular euthanasias. After losing a healthy, treasured foster dog to euthanasia, despite attempts by several people to adopt her and rescue groups attempts to pull her, we made the decision to start our own organization and make a difference "one good deed" at a time. We needed to do something good to honor our foster dog and decided on that day to start our own organization that would truly be for the good of the animals. One Good Deed Tn, Inc. will not put any animal to sleep for any reason other than as a last resort, on the advice of a veterinarian, for those pets whose suffering can not be cured and who by not humanely euthanizing would prolong its suffering.

We pull animals from all shelters, accept strays, work with other rescues who are too full, and provide medical services and foster care for all breeds of dogs until they are adopted into loving homes that are just right for their needs! We are also proud to assist other non-profit organizations with fostering, transport, and financial assistance for emergencies for both groups and individuals as our resources allow. One Good Deed Tn, Inc. believes that we can make a difference one good deed at a time!
