Molly's Story...
MEET MOLLY! Molly is the newest member of the LFS family. Molly was found in a rough, rural area of south Georgia. She was seen on the side of a road and it took several days for the rescuers to gain her trust. They were finally able to catch and take her in. She was very thin, skiddish and had a hurt back leg when she was caught. A good samaritan took her in to foster until a rescue group could be found. She arrived in Atlanta yesterday and is at our vet. Molly is a beautiful young black lab. Our veterinarian believes she is about 1 yo. Her black coat is very soft and shiny. She definitely needs to gain some weight. Her foster mom, from South Georgia, wrote, ” She is great with other dogs and children. She is a sweetie! I crated her in the same room with my older lab.”
Molly rode well in the car yesterday on her way to the vet. All she really wanted was for someone to pat her the whole trip.
Molly was spayed today and received her vaccinations. Unfortunately, Molly is Heartworm positive and will be treated by LFS.
Sweet Molly will be ready for a foster or a forever home in a day or so. Please consider Molly if you are looking for a sweet, beautiful lab to add to your family..
Stay posted for pictures and updates as we get to know Molly better.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Molly, a Cumming Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cumming, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cumming.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cumming already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cumming breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cumming paves the way for another one to be saved.
