Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Buddy! Buddy is an 11 year old Golden Retriever that joined our rescue after his beloved mom passed away. Buddy and his mom were absolutely inseparable. He was very well loved and received regular veterinary care. Buddy is understandably confused over the loss of his mom, but remains incredibly sweet. Buddy is a big guy weighing in at 121 lbs. He has been on a diet for the last few months and has lost 20 lbs. He has about 30 lbs left to shed! He would love a home that will be very careful with his diet and help him get some exercise. His extra weight makes it a little tough to rise to a stand when he's laying but once he's up he moves around very well. He would prefer a home with carpeted floors, because hardwood is difficult for him to navigate. Stairs are also tough on him, so a house that doesn't have too many of them would be the most ideal! Buddy is house trained, great with other dogs and has been around small children most of his life. He has limited vision, but has a very strong nose that helps him sniff his way around!
Buddy is a sweet guy who would make an incredible companion! If interested in Buddy, please complete an application! It can be found at www.seniordoghaven.org under the Adoption Process tab. Any questions can be directed to info@seniordoghaven.org.
