Aspen's Story...
Hi, my name is Aspen. I have been in the puppies for parole program for several weeks and have learned so much. First of all, I am housebroken and will whimper and go to the door to let you know when I need to go outside. They have taught me to sit, stay, watch me,kiss, kennel, down, off and many more fun tricks I can show you. They tell me I am a good watch dog because I let my handler know when someone comes to our door. Once he tells me it is okay, I am good. My favorite game is "find it". My handler hides my toy and then I use my nose to help me find where he has put it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our volunteer, Kathy, at or 816-752-2295. We try to respond as quickly as possible but all of our staff and volunteers work full time, too. Thank you

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aspen, a Cameron Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Cameron, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Cameron.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cameron already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cameron breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cameron paves the way for another one to be saved.
