Tanner's Story...
Hello! My name is Tanner and I love to play. I have been working
hard with my foster to be ready for my forever home as soon as I am
old enough. What am I working on besides playing? Oh, well I can
sit on command, and come to my name (ok, so mostly you just get my
attention by calling my name, but I am getting better!). I get
along with everyone I've met. Which has been a lot so far: some
kids, a cat, a dog, and lots of adult humans. I've also started my
crate training.

I can only be adopted in contiguous counties to Bedford County due to the fact that I am not neutered yet. This is a VA state law. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tanner, a Bedford Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
