THANK YOU for wanting a RESCUED DOG/PUP!!!!

Hola people, my name is Harvest Rae, but my Foster Mother calls me Rae Rae (Ray Ray) for short.  I am a FEMALE Golden Retriever//Boxer mix who knows SIT, DOWN and ON YOUR BED.  Fairly potty trained (still make a pee pee here or there if no one hears me crying to go out, soooo not my fault). Crate trained. An excellent leash walker, starting off strong, but easing up to loose leash. I ADORE walks, so many new sniffs to sniff!!!  GREAT at playing with other dogs, I come on strong and pounce my front legs hard like a Boxer in my play styles and poses. I love my furry foster brothers, but they are old geezers and won’t play with me, I would love a home with a young dog to rumble with. I LOVE my Foster humans and do a full booty wag when I see them and plop right down and show my tummy for rubs, I can do the same for you, if you adopt me.

My story………I was found on the streets when I was 7 weeks old and got the dreaded parvo virus, I almost died!  But God’s Dogs Rescue got me the medical care I needed and I made a strong comeback. I was adopted at 3 months old when I was super cute, small and soft like a cotton ball and returned at 8 months old for being too active and chewy……I am actually just the right amount of active for my age and breed mix AND I make very good chew choices, choosing toys over furniture when loose in the house, but don’t be silly, crate me when you are gone, or I might make poor choices, like your shoes or chair foots, I am after all a puppy and we find mischief when bored and alone.

I lived in an apartment in my first home and didn’t get very much exercise, so who can blame me for feeling frisky, so to stop this from re-happening I would prefer a home with a fenced yard to run in, lots of walks, or a buddy to rumble with, so I have a good outlet for my appropriate amount of energy. I have NOT been socialized with kids or cats, but I am GREAT with adults and dogs. I am spayed, vaccinated and ready to go. If you're ready to find out more about me, please email Debbie at and she will be happy to help you.  Hope to see you soon!!!

GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - all of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 FOR LOCAL DOGS AND PUPPIES( Local is in the state of Texas)!  Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $450.00 for puppies.  We transport all over the country!!
All our dogs are socialized and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dog’s personality. About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of loving and dedicated individuals who work together to save as many deserving animals as we can. We work tirelessly to assure the animals are well fed, socialized, are healthy and then find them the wonderful home they only dreamed of in the shelter or starving on the streets.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Please donate on the "Contact Us/Donate" page! Thank you!!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have local adoption events weekly at the Pets Barn on 1604 and Blanco in San Antonio.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption application required. Adoption fee of $150 for local adoptions and $350-450 for out of state adoptions (includes transport fees).
We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in Bexar county usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.
