Baby's Story...
S/F, 12 years old, Dachshund mix, approx 15 lbs

Hello, kind people! My name is Baby, although technically, at 12, I guess I'm not a baby anymore! But you're only as old as you feel, and I still have several years of good living to do.

I'm quite a sweet and gracious gal, and I get along well with just about everyone -- grownups, well-behaved children, and even calm dogs and cats. At my age and station in life, I understand my priorities, and my needs are simple. I'd love a quiet home with loving people, a comfy bed to call my own, a couple of nutritious meals daily, and a nice leisurely walk or two. I enjoy car rides, too!

We Dachsies are known for our loyalty to our beloved humans. I have lots of love to give to my forever family . . . is that you? I hope so!

Update! I have now been placed in foster care, if you would like to meet wonderful me please contact, Radene at and we will be happy to meet with you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby, a Denver Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Denver, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
