My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our sweet, shy little Ava has had a tough start in life. She was rescued as part of a backyard breeding operation where her only purpose was to have puppies. She has finished her life as a mother and is ready to be the loved, spoiled family member she deserves.

She has recently completed heartworm treatment and will need to be adopted local to Tennessee in order to receive CIATN sponsored follow up testing over the next 4-6 months to confirm clear test results. Ava will also receive 6 months of heartworm preventative with her completed adoption.

**All Compassion in Action dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be a part of their family and must be allowed inside—especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a “tie-out” or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced yard.

**All Compassion in Action dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations prior to adoption
