found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
A little information about Dudley...
Dudley is a 10 lb yr old male pom mix. He came to rescue frightened and shaking when touched. As scared as he was he never snapped or growled, which is remarkable. Dudkey was confused as his family sold him from an online newspaper. The very next day his new "family" dumped him, giving him away at a garage sale. Dudley is submissive to other dogs and gets along very well with each dog or group he's been introduced to. He spent 2 weeks living with a trainer with one of ATLs top rated! Dudley will need time and patience to adjust to a new family- he warms up within a week. He is seeking stability and love. Ps. He's crate trained and snuggly Dudley is coming to our January Event with Safe Harbor Animal Rescue. Please go to https://www.homewardboundct.org/want-to-adopt-a-dog/ to fill out an application today!
Dudley will be coming to our next event at:
Shelter Adoption Event
1919 Boston Post Road
(Next to Petco in Guilford Commons)
Guilford, CT 06437
January 28th & 29th 2017
We are open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm. All final decisions are made by the rescues not Homeward Bound volunteers. If you are interested in this dog or any of our dogs please go to www.homewardboundct.org (copy and paste in browser window) and see all of the dogs coming and also fill out an application. Please note that most of these dogs are not in Connecticut and will be arriving the day prior so it is most likely not possible for you to meet them prior to the event.
If you are a first time dog owner we may require a home visit prior to adoption.
If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.
All the residents in the household MUST come to the event along with any dog in your home for a meet and greet with our trainers.
Per the request of the rescues we may limit adoptions to only Connecticut homes due to the distance and support we give them. This again is strictly the rescues decision and hope you will honor that.
We also require a follow up visit with all families within a couple of months after the adoption.
Since we know there are many questions, please realize we will answer questions of those who have filled out an application first.
Adoption Fee is no more than $385. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated to age and also microchipped.
If you have additional questions about our dogs feel free to contact us. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we are very busy with pre-screening our applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
