Meet DODGER! *courtesy post- contact Clarinda via email at email@example.com for adoption information!
Dodger is a very handsome 7 year old Chocolate Lab. He is neutered and up to date on shots. Dodger has high energy and is a bit socially awkward. He is a sweet boy and the best dog, that is, for someone who works from home or involves him in their everyday life. He doesn't need a lot of walking, he can go a couple miles, but he does have elbow displaysia (takes two meds for it, a monthly shot that can be given from home and half a small pill daily). He loves to hike (shorter hikes these days), camp, the snow, cuddling on the couch, or just to throw his favorite toy around in the backyard. Because he is awkward/misunderstood, he doesn't play too well with other dogs, some small dogs okay, but not larger dogs ( he is about 55 pounds). Dodger LOVES kids so a family with children to play with would be perfect! He doesn't require a large home, just a lot of love, and someone to be home as he does have some separation anxiety issues (currently on Prozac but only $5 a month) and is an escape artist, which is our main issue with our community. He is okay for 2-3 hours at time but gets anxiety after that and somehow always finds a way to escape ( or even help other dogs get out around the neighborhood so that he has someone to chase squirrels around with).
