Ellen's Story...
Ellen was taken to the shelter with her mother when she was 4 weeks old. When we rescued her at a little over 7 weeks, she had spent almost half of her life there. Her mama had an adopter, so the shelter asked if we would rescue Ellen so she wouldn't be left alone in there. We are glad they asked -- how sad would that be! We were happy to take this bouncy little girl in and let her spend some time with puppies her own age before she finds her forever home. She appears to be a Chihuahua mix (her jaw makes her look like she could have a little Boston Terrier in her maybe) and she weighs just a little over 4 lbs at 8 weeks old.

If you are interested in giving this sweet baby a home, please visit our website http://jojosdoghouse.com and download an application or email us at jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you one. Adoption fee is $250 and includes age-appropriate vaccinations and parasite-free. Thanks for choosing adoption!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellen, a Gallatin Chihuahua/Boston Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Boston Terrier for sale in Gallatin, or seeking a Chihuahua/Boston Terrier puppy from a breeder in Gallatin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gallatin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gallatin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Boston Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gallatin paves the way for another one to be saved.
