My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luke is a Yorkie mix, male, 1 year old, 6 lbs. He plays hard and sleeps hard. He likes to play tug of war with his rope toy or play fetch with his bouncy ball. He likes to play with people best. He doesn't mind other dogs if they don't bother him. He doesn't mind kids who are quiet and calm. He likes men. He needs someone to be firm with him. He will growl at kids if he doesn't want them to pick him up from a comfy spot. He will bark if someone knocks on the door. I've had to say "no!" Then stomp my foot to let him know I am boss. He can jump up on a couch. He can do stairs and is very active at times. He is a good eater and drinker. He knows his name. He doesn't mind the leash once he knows the person who has him.
Potty training is what he is still learning. I believe that if someone is firm with him and has a good routine, he can be trained. I have found that if he is in a small crate, he won't go potty in it but will bark/screech at some early morning hour to go potty. I haven't tried having him sleep with me. He is so sweet that I hope someone would be open to having him in their bed or at least willing to try. He is quiet through the night if he has a place to sleep and pee pad but doesn't always find the pad. He never chews them. He will pee on a blanket if you give him one to sleep on unfortunately. He dorsn't mind baths and hardly has any hair so he dries fast with just a towel. He doesn't mind having his hair or toe nails trimmed. He likes his belly rubbed.

Luke is current on vaccines, spay/neutered and heartworm tested. Adoption fee for Luke is $250. If you are interested in adopting Luke, please fill out an adoption application http://www.furgetusnotrescue.org/application.html .
