Jax's Story...
Jax is an estimated 1 year old male Labrador who was tossed out of a truck in a rural part of Kentucky. A couple saw this and stopped to pick him up however they are unable to keep him and have asked us for help in getting him vetted and finding an appropriate home.

Jax has been friendly with everyone he meets and is a typical social retriever. He was a big hit at the vet clinic where all of the techs were loving on him and has a great personality. He is not living with children currently however the volunteer who transported him to and from the vet had young children with her in the car who Jax did really well with. Jax is staying in the house however the individuals who have him are not able to provide him with any appropriate energy outlets nor are they invested in training him therefore Jax has started to get destructive. They do have another dog who Jax does done well with and he appears to be a very playful boy with other dogs.

Jax is a really great boy who has simply be dealt a rough hand. Jax is searching for a loving family that will give him plenty of exercise and a few rounds of basic obedience.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Louisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Louisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
