My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HENRY is finally ready for his new home !! This big handsome orange dude now allows us to pick him up and cuddle, and purrs the whole time !

Henry and his brother were surrendered to the shelter about a year ago when their elderly owner passed away. The brother was friendly and was adopted quickly. Henry was determined to be a hard-sell, wanting no part of these strange new humans. Hissy, spitty, snarly Henry.

He has spent several months now in one of our community rooms, for an attitude adjustment supervised by the other cats. The metamorphosis is amazing to see. He is so friendly now, and takes an interest in people coming in, he purrs and loves to be patted. Yes it’s even OK to pick him up. A slight trace of the original attitude may remain, so he needs to be treated with respect, and he may nip you, for reasons known only to himself. He is ready for the next stage of his life – a home of his own.

Henry is a handsome orange tiger dude about 5 ½ years old and about fifteen pounds. He seems to get along fine in a roomful of cats, so he may be agreeable to a feline buddy or two. Come and meet this young fellow soon. He might be a great “guy’s cat”.
