Pleased as punch with her slice of pumpkin pie, sweet but shy Ruby blooms in the company of other dogs. In fact, the fearful 4-year-old prefers canines to humans, having come from a rowdy home and never knowing how calmness feels. Slightly timid on walks, uneasy around too much activity, and healing well from a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in one leg, she would thrive in a house with a securely fenced yard. Eager to trust, to love and be loved, what Ruby needs now is a foster or adoptive home with another gentle dog for guidance and companionship, and people committed to patiently coaxing her from her shell and allowing this promising gem to truly shine. To encourage and compensate just such a home, CODAR will provide for the medical expenses related to Ruby's leg and for her obedience training.
