Thank you for your interest in our adoptable animals.  If you would like more information about this pet, see the Shelter information below.   We would love to help you rescue a perfect pet!

Do you see that twinkle in his eyes? From his pic, can you tell this guy is a CUDDLE BUG?  Even after being in a cage day after day, what does he want to do out in the play yard?  Knox wants to hang wherever you are, preferably leaning in or on you if you'll have it.  He loves to chase a ball and quickly learned to bring the ball back, drop it, and sit for a treat.  No guarding issues.  He makes me laugh when he gets close to the ball cause he starts to jump like a rabbit.  Alot of him makes me laugh.  He's just a super sweet guy.  I walk Knox with an easy walk harness and he is easy on the leash.  He appears  housebroken, though some shelter dogs may need a little polishing when they get home, as well as a little time to settle in to a new home. Knox is a smaller pittie, about 38 pounds, and has that brindle coat I just love and that big pittie smile.  He is young and can be a little mouthy in searching your hands and clothing for treats, but takes them gently and listens to a stern 'No'. Because of this mouthiness, though gentle, he may not be best with toddlers.  I have also seen him a bit skittish at a loud dumpster noise he was unfamiliar with.  Again, he is young and I'm confident the more he is exposed to things, the more mellow he will be.  He has shown great interest in other dogs, but I'm not sure how he is with them so bring yours in for a meet and greet (closed Tuesdays).  Knox will also need to be neutered upon adoption, which will help him to be an even more awesome dog than he already is...and he IS already AWESOME!  Trust me, you're gonna love him!
