Ferris (Neutered)'s Story...
"Ferris" is a handsome 2-year old male Labrador Retriever/Boxer mix who was accepted at the HSOV on January 13, 2017 as a transfer from a nearby shelter whose facility was deemed unsafe for housing their dogs, and we offered "Ferris" and four of his friends a safe place to stay. "Ferris" has a black short smooth coat, a large white bib on his chest which is sprinkled with black freckles, white paws, a long tail, and a darling face with white/black freckles on his muzzle and black short floppy ears. This big boy has a jovial outgoing personality. He loved attention (and baby-talk .sssh) while he was having his photos taken. "Ferris" walks fairly well on a leash. He currently weighs 61 lbs. "Ferris" was neutered on January 26, 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ferris (Neutered), a Marietta Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
