Saleh's Story...
Saleh is a 4 yr old shorthaired all black female who came to us a couple of summers ago with her litter of kittens. They lived in a foster home together until her kittens were ready for adoption. The foster family kept her longer to work on her much lacking social skills. She really enjoyed all the attention she got there. Saleh is a bit shy at first. She was adopted by a woman whose cat ran away. A few weeks after she got Saleh her cat came home and the landlord said there can be only one so we got Saleh back. The woman said she hid under the bed the first week but after that she was very engaging and sweet.
As with all cats adopted through PAWS, Saleh has been spayed, seen by a vet, vaccinated-including rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped
All adoptions include a free exam by a local vet, one month of pet health insurance, and gift certificates from local pet shops.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saleh, a Kingston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Kingston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Kingston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kingston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kingston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kingston paves the way for another one to be saved.
