Facts about Ghost

  • Breed: Hound (Unknown Type)/Boxer Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: D2016098
Ghost was known to be running the streets of Gentry for almost a year. We named him Ghost because when sighted, he would disappear into thin air! Once caught, he spent the first few days being afraid of us and letting us know he didn't want us around him. Now 10 days into being a shelter dog, he still barks at strangers, but does calm down. His tail wags continuously. We know with time, he will make a great addition to a family. We think he is a Boxer/Hound mix. He has been neutered and is an adult, 1+ years of age. Please call 479-212-0632 for adoption info.

About Gentry Animal Services

About Our Shelter...

At Gentry Animal Services our commitment is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately unite our abandoned, stray and neglected dogs with a loving and well-suited home. Since we have such a small shelter, only 10 kennels, we must adopt the dogs as quickly as possible to avoid overcrowding. Due to the small size of our kennel, we are in need of foster homes. Foster homes are for responsible, caring and interested individuals or families willing to temporarily house and care for a dog or dogs until they are adopted out to a permanent home. This helps us keep our kennel from overpopulation. We also accept and are in need of donations for food, supplies, shelter upkeep, and veterinary expenses to help maintain our top-notch care of animals awaiting adoption.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our shelter is located just outside the city limits of Gentry, Arkansas. You can contact us at (479) 212-0632, Monday-Saturday 8am to 5pm. I meet interested adopters at the Gentry Police Department then take a short drive to the shelter where you can view, interact with and take home any one of our homeless but hopeful animals.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins by filling out a short questionnaire. The fee for adopting pets is $30.00 plus the cost of spay/neuter surgery. By state law every dog adopted from our shelter must be spay/neutered.
