My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHIP is an eight-month-old black male cat. Chip came from a home that could not give him the attention and care he needed because of the needs of the developmentally disabled children that lived in the home. The owners could not afford the costs or time required of a pet, and understandably so, with children to care for. We have no doubt Chip’s forever family will find him in a short time, because he is a character! Chip will tilt his head and send his tail up in inquiry when you talk to him, fixing his beautiful green eyes on you and listening intently. He then bounces over and drops and rolls, inviting you to give his tummy a scratch. Chip then will rub his head against your hand, and close his eyes in happiness when you pet him. He’s a lanky boy, and you have to laugh when his head goes down and his tushy goes up in the air when he takes a nap, or his tushy is in his bed and the rest of him is...well…outside the bed. You wonder how on earth can he be comfortable? But that’s Chip…he’s a unique, loveable and cute young fellow!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.
