Cali's Story...
Cali is one of 6 adorable kittens, who were born Nov. 3, 2016 and are available for adoption. They're sweet, playful and cute as a kitten!

We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover, so you know everything there is to know before finalizing the adoption.

Our adoption fee is $50, including spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip. We have a Buy One Get One (BOGO) special on kittens, so if you adopt one, you get the second kitten free. With the BOGO, you get two kittens for $50. If you're only interested in one kitten, that's fine, too. We spay/neuter at 4 months/4 pounds, so you can take the kitten home now, but it's a provisional adoption. You can get a free spay/neuter at Clay Humane Society once they're old enough, or you're welcome to go to the vet of your choice at your own expense. Once they're spayed/neutered, then we finalize the adoption and everything is official.

We ask that you fill out an adoption application before you meet the kittens. You can download it here:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cali, a Jacksonville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
