My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rover is on a trial adoption.
Don't you love his scruffy face and wiry coat? Rover is about 3-4 years old, heartworm negative, neutered, microchip, house trained, current on all his vaccines and preventatives. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He's a happy dog that does well out of a kennel. He's not destructive and likes attention.
We are only asking an adoption fee of $120 since he had donations to cover most of his medical expenses of $950.
If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to fill out our adoption questionnaire at http://members.petfinder.com/~MS72/adoption_app.html

Can you believe how good Rover looks now? After his emergency care Horn Lake Animal Hospital on New Year's Eve having been hit by a vehicle on highway 302 he's looking great!

No broken bones but pretty bad bruising and road rash. He had to be stitched up in his mouth and lip. He's been recovering and doing pretty well. He's beginning to use his left front leg a little better now. It was tore up pretty bad.

Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes to foster the animals until they find a forever home.

Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter, heart worm check, current vaccines, microchip, worming and heart worm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verification.
When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract
