My story

Annie is 1 of 4 cats I am fostering and have put up for adoption.
I have had Annie in my home since Aug. 2016.
Two years ago a stray cat showed up in our yard and we began feeding her.
She became pregnant, and of her 4 kittens, only 2 survived.
They were all still hanging around the yard, and winter was fast approaching, which worried me because I could not get very near to them. So I bought them an outdoor cat shelter with a low-voltage heater and put it on our deck so they would be safe from predators. They made it through the winter just fine and the babies grew into beautiful kitties. One was black and white, just like her mother. The black and white one is Annabelle, also posted on this website. The other one was all black, and that one is Isabella. Now, mommy raised her 2 babies and not soon after, she moved on and became pregnant again. Wow! Now we knew we had to do something quick! We let mommy raise her 4 new babies and crossed our fingers hoping no more babies would appear. Mommy cat was not really hanging around her babies much anymore anyway and they appeared to be abandoned by her. They were staying close to our house.
We decided to trap them all and get them fixed, including Mommy cat.
It was obvious Mommy was not happy indoors so after 2 weeks we released her.
So, we had 6 kitties inside and we adopted 2 out, and now have 4 left. They are all on this website: Annabelle, Isabella, Annie, and Sammie. All showed positive signs that they could be socialized.

Annie has an adorable face. She has quite the feisty personality. She likes to play and is a curious girl. She likes other cats, but not sure she likes dogs as she does hiss at our dog Pepper, so she probably would be better in a home with just cats, although she is not afraid of Pepper. She darts around our living room at lightning speed, and chases toys with her kitten personality. She is also still learning to trust like her brother Sammie, but Annie is much more outgoing and willing to approach you. She would be better with adults, and older children in a somewhat quieter home. She is quite the investigator, and seeks me out when I am cooking in the kitchen or upstairs on the computer.
She loves canned cat food, as well as dry, is litter box trained, is spayed, has all her vaccines, is de-wormed, and all vet records are available.
It will take a bit of time before she is comfortable around you so just be patient.
If you are looking for a lap cat, then she would not be for you. But maybe one day; she gets closer and closer to me every day. She jumps on my bed to watch TV with me.
I can pick her up, but I have to do it slowly and speak to her in a soft tone so she does not get scared. She does not feel comfortable yet being held for long periods of time. She is more comfortable being petted than Sammie. They both love each other and are very attached to each other.

If you would like to adopt Annie (and or Sammie) please call Leah at 440-241-0277 or 440-338-3781. Please be sure to leave a message if no answer.
