Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chet, 5 Year Old Puppy!
Meet Chet, a handsome 5 year old, 50 lb. Beagle Mix who has completed his heartworm treatment and is now ready for the next step of his new life, a forever home!
Chet is like a 5 year old, 50 lb. puppy, except housetrained. He will need to be watched, and if you can't watch him, put him in his crate.
Chet has a laid back personality, is a very sweet and gentle dog. Chet minds well, is housetrained, crate trained (goes in by himself and when directed). Chet is good on a leash, so taking him for walks is pretty easy. He likes to hang in the same room as his humans, but hasn't gotten into "snuggling". Chet is the same size as a standard Beagle, but with a very broad chest and a nubby tail.
Obviously Chet would love a good home, he's not picky.
Chet loves to spend time outside sniffing, so a fenced yard would be nice. If no fence, good long walks, and maybe some visit to a dog park.
Large Crate is a must.
Chet has a loud bark so he wouldn't do well in an apartment or condo.
If you want a dog that minds well, and is a real joy to have around, who could be your companion, then Chet is your boy. Also, Chet likes to ride in the car, so you could take him with you.
If you would like to meet Chet, contact your adoption counselor, who will contact the foster home to see what kind of meet and greet arrangements can be made.
