Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cody is a 1 year old Akbash mix. He is kennel trained, house trained, micro chipped, neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations.
Cody is a well-mannered young man. He is friendly and has not shown any aggression to other dogs on the ranch. Cody is a very large dog. He loves the outdoors and he needs room to exercise and something to keep him occupied.
Cody was surrendered to us by an owner who kept him in a wire crate during work hours. Or tried to. Cody doesn't want to be penned up all day, so he kept breaking out of his crate.
This type of dog is not suitable for an apartment. He is not suitable to be penned up all day long. Cody needs room to be a large dog. He needs exercise or a large yard or property to roam. He wasn't raised with livestock, so we can't guarantee that he would be good with small animals like chickens. However, he is still young and trainable, so he would make a great protector for larger animals like goats, sheep and horses.
Cody is available for public adoption to someone who can provide him with the right kind of environment. You do not need to be a Veteran to adopt him. If you are interested in adopting Cody, please contact Painted Paws for Veterans.
