Major is a staff and volunteer favorite at Home Fur Good; he has become a solid member of the family. He is a three-year-old mix of heart, fluff and Shepherd. Major has a nutty sense of humor. You will be drawn in by his silly demeanor; he loves to play and entertain. Major does know the cues to sit and lay down, and he also gives his full attention to his humans for direction. However, his attention span can be short-lived, and he will start to jump to get your affection. He is housebroken. Major will need an assertive and consistent owner, so that he always exhibits his good-dog behaviors; maybe a little obedience training would be a fun outing to do together. He is good with older kids and big dogs, but does not do well with small dogs or with cats. With a little time and patience, Major will make an award-winning and wacky companion. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our dogs is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
