Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Every holiday season we have puppies. Puppies who aren't what the kids really wanted and puppies who were returned because their adopters forgot just how much work it is to have a puppy! So even when the holidays end, we keep the puppy party going. It's a win win really. We get puppy kisses and they get homes. Forever homes this time.
Meet Fig. This little one became an OMD pup at a mere 5 weeks old when we saved her from a high kill shelter on New Year's Eve. Her name probably should have been something more boisterous and celebratory not only because of the day she was rescued but because every day is a party for Fig. While she is only a tiny 8lbs. our Pitbull/Lab mix (no, we can't be sure that is her mix or what kind of mix she is exactly) can hold her own and is perfectly comfortable running with the big dogs (and little ones too). Just 8 weeks old, our itty bitty spitfire is still learning the ways of the world (she just learned the steps!) but she already knows she loves toys, sleeping on top of her American Bulldog foster sister (think Spider Monkey), rough housing with other pups and cuddling with her foster mom. Since she is just a baby, Fig is still perfecting her manners, housebreaking and crate training skills so her forever family should be ready to continue working with her on being a well-rounded girl. Fig is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed and microchipped and will be available when she is 8 weeks of age. If you are interested in partying with Fig, please fill out an application at omdrescue.org.
