My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES BRAVO INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!

Bravo is not called Bravo because he's brave, on the contrary, he's quite timid, shy, reserved and scared, however he is called Bravo because we want him to be more confident, happy and brave. We only know what we know on his pull, picked up as a stray in a W. TN animal shelter, Bravo was not in a good situation. IDGSR pulled him and took him to a veterinarian boarding facility we use often till we could get him transported to E. TN. At the vets a wonderful lady named Nikki gave Bravo a lot of extra TLC and he started to emerge out of his shell. So we knew he was not completely shut down and he could love. Nikki daily for 2 weeks showed Bravo that he was safe, loved and cared for and Bravo started to fall in love with Nikki. Here is what Nikki has to say about Bravo:

" Oh Bravo. If only I could take them all. He's incredibly sweet, gentle, willing, and eager to please. He takes treats easy, and was such a wonderful guy. I love the video of him with another dog. That's awesome. He's beautiful, he's a little battered, but he's not broken, and his spirit is good. Thanks for letting me be a part of his rescue, and rehabilitation."

Transport was arranged and he came to us in E. TN. Bravo has only been here at the rescue headquarters for a couple of days and when he saw how much fun the other dogs were having too, he was willing to come out of his crate and join the adventure. He is still timid but we are working on that. Bravo is about 1 yr of age, he is a super sweet boy but will need a patient adopter who will give him time, push him just past his comfort zone every day to help him be more socialized in public settings and with other people and dogs. Here with us he is doing fine with both people and dogs but takes a few minutes to adjust, This is all new to him and he acts thrilled to enjoy himself yet reserved because it's all new experiences for him. Pretty would be an understatement, he is just a gorgeous boy. He will do well with a large breed female dog that is confident and happy and will show him that he too can be confident and happy and will show him that he too can be confident and happy. We call that a Helper dog and he is kind of a follower and a monkey see monkey do kind of fella, so the helper dog will help him and show him the ropes.

If you have what it takes to make Bravo a happy confident Brave boy, please fill out an application on our website by copying and pasting the link below and filling it out.
