My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ZEPPELIN loves to be up in the air and has amazing jumping skills when fetching a ball is involved! He is learning to jump on command and also when not to jump, but to sit instead. This sweet dog was picked up by Animal Control in Troy in NW TN as a major cold front brought single digit temperatures to TN. Nobody claimed this gorgeous boy, so he is now in a foster home where he loves and is good with the children (aged 8 and above) and is fine with the cats. He does not do well with other alpha male dogs or those with a dominant personality. He gets along well with female dogs. He is crate trained and house trained. He is fully vetted, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, kept on monthly heartworm, flea and tick prevention and microchipped. He is 3 years old and weighs 57 pounds. He is currently being treated for "happy tail" which he got from wagging his tail too enthusiastically while in his kennel. He is a fun, athletic dog who would do best with an active person or family with older children. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Zeppelin if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received.
