ZEPPELIN loves to be up in the air and has amazing jumping skills! This sweet dog was picked up by Animal Control in Troy in NW TN as a major cold front brought single digit temperatures to TN. Nobody claimed this gorgeous boy, so he was rescued in order to save his life. His foster described him on that day as a very skinny icicle. He is now safe and warm in his foster home where he is crate and house trained and where he has shown no aggression toward his fellow foster dogs. It may be no surprise that he has some food guarding issues, but with regular meals and his foster working on this behavior, he is improving. His foster says that he is an extremely sweet, very athletic dog. He loves and does well with children, but we recommend a home with older children because of his energy level. He would do best with a family who has an active lifestyle. Zeppelin is 2 years old and weighs 49 pounds. He has been vetted, vaccinated and neutered. He tested negative for heartworm. He will be microchipped prior to adoption. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Zeppelin if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501c3 non-profit, all-volunteer rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received.

About Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups

About Our Rescue Group...

Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue group that rescues animals from kill shelters as well as stray, abandoned, injured, and neglected animals throughout Obion County in NW TN. If any of these dogs is a pet you lost, please contact the rescue. The rescue will not return a dog to you unless you can provide proof of ownership including photos of you with your pet, veterinary records showing you provided state-required rabies vaccinations and other routine care, and you must pay any and all veterinary and boarding expenses incurred by the rescue during the time they cared for your lost pet.

If you are not ready to adopt at this time, please consider fostering a pet, even for just a week. You will be saving a life!

All of our pets would welcome a donation toward their care until they find a forever home. You may donate at www.paypal.com to unicorn47@charter.net or by mailing a check to Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups, c/o Sandra Blair, PO Box 62, Union, City, TN 38281. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a physical shelter facility and so meeting our pets is by appointment by calling Sandra Blair at 731-446-4013. We also have regular Meet 'n Greets at local businesses throughout the year where you can come and meet a variety of our dogs and cats. You can also follow us on Facebook. We are TnDiamonds In-The Ruff. Check out our website at http://www.adoptapet.com/TnDiamonds-in-the-Ruff.

Our Adoption Process...

Until the end of 2017, our adoption fee has been lowered to $95. This fee helps to cover part of the cost of basic veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tests, spay or neuter and microchip. If a dog has required medical care above and beyond the norm, the adoption fee could be higher. Fees are sometimes lower for certain dogs, so please inquire. If we are unable to arrange for volunteer transport for adoptions outside our area, it may be necessary for us to arrange for paid transport at a cost of approximately $140. Completion of an adoption application as well as a veterinarian reference is required. Our online adoption application can be found at www.adoptapet.com/TnDiamonds-in-the-Ruff/adoption-application/. We also have a paper application which you can obtain by emailing donnadeaner@gmail.com. Thanks for your interest in adopting a Diamonds Dog!
