My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are pleased to introduce Justice Cooper to his potential new family. And even though Justice is blind, that doesn't mean he can't see, in other ways. Justice is ~7 to 8 years old, weighs ~15 lbs, and is just as spunky as they get. He loves a good stroll thru the grass where he can roll around in; he adores a good squeaky toy that he can toss and play with; and he especially enjoys a nice warm lap to snuggle into. (He's great at watching the evening news & your favorite program. Tee hee.) Justice is very adept at finding his way around. He listens, smells, and feels his way along. He's living proof that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. He's always up for a new adventure where he can explore and learn some new things, like most recently a trip to the beach. Justice hit the sand and put his nose to the wind where we sat and watched him drink it all in, like a fine glass of wine. This boy is guaranteed to put a smile on your face as well as in your heart. And as an added bonus, Justice Cooper is completely house trained and leash trained. We can't help but feel he's simply perfect!

If you are interested in adopting Justice Cooper, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Justice Cooper 's adoption fee is $375. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Justice Cooper will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
